The Proteco Advantage electromechanical operator with articulated arm for swing gates.
A powerful, quiet operator suitable for large pillars.
The Advantage articulated arm motors are easy to install and ideal when gates are mounted on brick walls or stone pillars.
This motor is ideal where traditional ram operators cannot be installed.
The motor can open inwards or outwards with the ability to achieve wide angle openings (up to 130° dependant on hinge position).
The Advantage has an embedded control board and an adjustable electric limit-switch in order to safely adjust its cycle.
The operators are non-reversible and therefore don’t need the inconvenience or expense of an additional electric lock to keep them closed.
The Advantage is part of the Proteco Professional Range - Proteco products are manufactured in Italy and reputed for their build quality & reliability.
Proteco Professional gate motors are built from high quality materials including die-cast aluminium, stainless steel and bronze components.
All motors have fluid-grease lubrication systems, polyester powder-paint coating, self-lubricating worm gearing and built-in thermal protection systems to ensure quiet operation and a long working life in all weather conditions.

How do I tell if I need a left or right hand kit?
The motor is usually mounted on the inside of the property for security. With this in mind view the gates from inside the property looking outwards (the gates will normally, swing toward you). If the hinge appears on the left, you need a left-hand kit; if it's on the right you need a right-hand kit.
Gate Mounting
The diagrams below show the ideal mounting positions and geometry to achieve either a 90° (diagram A) or 130° (diagram B) opening angle.
The plan view diagrams show the operator and gate closed and open.
Installation Advice
When fitting the gate brackets to a wooden gate, we recommend that you insert stainless steel tubing (just large enough to sleeve the mounting bolt threads and 1mm shorter than the thickness of the wood) through the gate mounting holes. This will prevent over-tightening of the mounting bolts and also avoid the repetitive push/pull on the mounting bolts from damaging the wood.
